Join us in planning for the new Centre for Integrated Health and Community Studies
In December 2013, the Ontario Government released the Major Capacity Expansion (MCE) Policy Framework and a call for submissions was issued in early 2014.
The eastern Greater Toronto Area continues to transform itself into a hub of knowledge and innovation. As such, the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT), Durham College and Trent University have responded to the government’s call for Major Capacity Expansion proposals with a joint submission and addendum for a sensational new flagship facility.
The institutions recognize that the provincial government has committed to person-centred care that integrates health-care services in the community and in the home – not just in hospitals and clinics. The proposal will also directly address the need for a larger workforce to deliver integrated health, home and community services.
